Skin tags (acrochordons) are small, soft, benign (non-cancerous) growths that commonly appear where skin rubs together, such as the neck, underarms, eyelids, groin, and under the breasts.

Skin-coloured to light brown, smooth or slightly wrinkled, often on a thin stalk.

What causes skin tags?

Skin tags frequently linked to skin friction, genetics, and can be more common with weight changes and insulin resistance.

Are skin tags contagious?

They’re not contagious and don’t “spread” like an infection, but you may develop more over time.
